Francesca Whitham

Picture Specialist, Modern and Contemporary Art

Francesca Whitham studied History of Art at the University of Leeds, followed by a two-year Masters in the History and Business of Art and Collecting at the University of Warwick. 

Francesca joined Dreweatts’ Fine Art department in 2015 and since then has worked on a series of important sales including works from the Collection of Jan Krugier; the selected studio sale of Berenice Sydney and Bruce Tippett, and more recently helped bring to market a newly-discovered Henry Moore sculpture. In 2021, Francesca was appointed Head of Sale for Modern & Contemporary Art at Dreweatts, bringing to the market bi-annual curated sales. Francesca also co-ordinates all fine art pictures and sculptures for Dreweatts' yearly series of Interior sales and four Fine Art Timed Online auctions. Francesca has been auctioneering since 2019, regularly stepping up to the rostrum for a variety of sales including the Wine, Fine Art, Interior sales, and collection sales such as Weston Hall and The Sitwells (Nov 2021), and the collection of Rawdon Hall (May 2022).
