Head of Department: British and European Sculpture and Works of Art

Silas has 30 years’ experience working in the world of auctions and antiques publishing. As a senior valuer with Dreweatts, he runs the sculpture and works of art department, as well as overseeing the Hambridge Sales and assisting in the development of online auctions alongside Dreweatts specialist departments.

After graduating from Cambridge with an MA in Art History he has worked across the country for Phillips, Bonhams and Bellmans.

Dreweatts was an early adopter of online technology and continues to improve its presence and service in the digital marketplace, embracing the growing numbers of national and international buyers and sellers who utilise the convenience and immediacy of this expanding market.
