Hollycombe House was the home of the late Tim Hoare, a much loved character, and his wife Virginia. Tim hosted memorable weekend parties and seasonal shoots and those who were lucky enough to attend will remember the generous hospitality that met them, Tim’s vivacious personality and an interior filled with entertainment and laughter.  

The collection at Hollycombe has at its heart a number of wonderful paintings, drawings, sculptures, furniture and works of art spanning the centuries, from works by Thomas Gainsborough to more contemporary pieces by Marc Chagall and Stanley Spencer. It is a true reflection of Tim’s impeccable taste and love of arts.

The interiors cleverly combine the magic of a Scottish baronial shooting lodge with a Gentleman’s London Club. Spun, like a fine textile, with the flare and incomparable design eye of Robert Kime, whose work is synonymous with colour, detail and interest: the collection of furniture and objects offers a unique twist on the country house style.
