About the lot - classic extending dining table

Exquisitely crafted in walnut, burr walnut and sycamore, this table can be used as a small circular centre table, or extended to become a large ovoid dining table. The top is supported on classical columnar supports and, like all items from this famous designer, is proudly stamped LINLEY.

About the designer - David Linley

Since founding his business in 1985, David Linley has produced furniture of the very highest quality. His unique pieces grace the most prestigious of homes, and his work is highly sought-after across the globe.

David’s passion for bespoke furniture began early in life when, at the age of 13, he attended Bedales School and developed a penchant for woodworking. He moved on to the School for Craftsmen in Wood at Parnham House in Dorset to complete his training.

It was at Parnham, under the tutelage of the great furniture maker John Makepeace, that David was encouraged to “push beyond the comfort zones into the realms of excellence”. This ethos has stuck with him and is evident in the wonderful pieces his company has designed and produced over the years.
