Dreweatts is thrilled to announce a new three-year partnership with Pallant House Gallery as Principal Partner. Pallant House Gallery is a leading UK museum and public gallery for modern British art.
Will Richards, Deputy Chairman, said: ‘It’s wonderful to open this new chapter of partnership. Pallant House Gallery is one of the most important modern art museums in the UK and its work to make art more accessible to all is second to none. Having supported the Gallery over the last 15 years it has been amazing to see its growth both as an important gallery and through its leading outreach and education programmes. This work continues and I am delighted for Dreweatts to be at the forefront of the new partnership programme with this principal role’.
Sam East, Head of Development at Pallant House Gallery, commented: ‘We are enormously grateful to Dreweatts and Gurr Johns whose support enables us to unlock so much of the fantastic potential of this museum and to meet one of our core charitable objectives which is to share our art as widely as possible.’
Dreweatts will support Pallant House Gallery as Principal Partner for the next three years. Previously Dreweatts has sponsored the Gallery’s main exhibitions and Gurr Johns, its parent company, has advised on the permanent collection and acquisitions. Dreweatts’ commitment as Principal Partner both renews and continues this strong relationship.
Pallant House Gallery has an exciting programme of exhibitions, workshops, talks and tours for adults and children. Forthcoming highlights include:
Dora Carrington: Beyond Bloomsbury (9 November 2024 – 27 April 2025)
This is the first museum exhibition of works by Dora Carrington (1893-1932) in almost 30 years. Featuring over 100 works by the artist and her peers, the exhibition repositions Carrington in the history of Modern British art and demonstrates the relevance of her remarkable life and work today.
Maggi Hambling: Nightingale night (9 November 2024 – 27 April 2025)
Explore the profound connection between nature, sound, and art in a new series by one of Britain’s most celebrated artists. This exhibition features 14 new paintings by renowned artist Maggi Hambling, inspired by a night spent in the Sussex woodland guided by folk musician and conservationist, Sam Lee.
The Pallant House Gallery Community Programme offers people, with a range of support needs, different ways to be creative. This could be learning a new technique, working on a personal art project or participating in a talk at the Gallery. It offers a supportive and welcoming environment allowing individuals access to a variety of artistic opportunities in a way that best suits them.
Vicki Wonfor, Managing Director & COO, commented, ‘Coupled with Dreweatts expertise within the field of modern and contemporary British art and design, our support of Pallant House Gallery is a natural fit. We look forward to collaborating with them on various projects and supporting them in their ambitious plans for the next three years.’
