On Thursday 6th February Dreweatts' Managing Director Jonathan Pratt will lend his auctioneering skills to an inspirational evening's event hosted by The Born Free Foundation. Attended by legendary Born Free founders and compassionate conservationists Virginia McKenna OBE and Will Travers OBE, as well as the wildlife artist Jonathan Truss and other special guests, the evening aims to raise vital funds to help save one of the world's most highly threatened of species - Africa's elephants.
Set in the stunning old buildings of the Old Royal Naval College, Greenwich University in London, guests will be treated to a VIP reception before enjoying a captivating talk on Born Free's current work to save Africa's elephants. This exclusive event will support the foundation's critical and tireless work, and include a sneakpreview of the documentary A Brush with Nature which follows wildlife artist Jonathan Truss on his journey to Amboseli National Park in Kenya to find and paint one of the largest and most famous elephants in the world.
Afterwards, Truss’ stunning artwork Land of the Giants will be revealed and put up for live auction in aid of the Born Free Foundation's invaluable and critical work. Dreweatts' Managing Director Jonathan Pratt is delighted to be the event's auctioneer, and to help raise vital funds for the most urgent of the Born Free Foundation's elephant projects in 2020.
