Dreweatts' flagship Fine Jewellery, Watches and Silver auction on 27 November features 261 stunning pieces including two standout consignments from the highly collectable and revered French jewellery maker, Cartier.
The first Cartier piece that our expert James Nicholson expects to excite Cartier collectors is lot 205, a pair of 1960s turquoise and diamond ear clips.
The ear clips feature oval cabochon turquoise within a surround of brilliant cut diamonds, weighing approximately 2.9 carats. Each clip is signed Cartier Paris and stamped with French poinçon.
In the current market James expects the turquoise and diamond ear clips to achieve between £6,000-8,000 (+fees), however the highly collectable nature of this type of piece from Cartier could push the sale price beyond this estimate.
Immediately following the turquoise and diamond ear clips is another lot that’s sure to excite Cartier collectors in the room and online. Lot 206 is a 1990s gold and diamond bangle by Cartier.
The broad reeded hinged bangle features a vine leaf decoration set within brilliant cut diamonds, weighing approximately 6.45 carats in total. The bangle is signed Cartier, numbered C88254 and stamped 750. It carries a pre-sale estimate of £7,000-10,000 (+fees).
