Blessed with a hot, dry summer and cool nights, this marriage resulted in rich, long-lived wines with exceptional balance. But due to the need to pick early, the vignerons brought their grapes in anxiously. It soon became clear that they had something significant in their vats. 

The grapes, which might otherwise have been victims of a hot vintage, where the fruit’s ripeness dominates the wine, were instead dehydrated which concentrated all the vital elements needed to make something very special. As well as rich, dark, plush fruit and cashmere tannins, any grower will tell you about the impressive (and surprising) freshness of the 2020.
 
The auction provides a wonderful opportunity to either continue or start your Burgundian adventure.

This is a live online auction with an auctioneer. The auction will take place on Tuesday 30 June (starting at 10.30am BST) at Dreweatts Newbury, but please note all wine and spirits are stored off-site at LCB Eton Park. Bidding is available online, by telephone, by commission bids or in person at Dreweatts. Please contact Dreweatts to register all commission bids or telephone bids by 12 noon BST the day before the sale.
