Dreweatts are delighted to present the private collection of contemporary artist Pablo Bronstein in a sale entitled: ‘Pablo Bronstein: Diversions of a Contemporary Mind’. The auction takes place on Tuesday 9 January 2024.
Pablo, born in Argentina, is an artist who grew up and works in the UK. His drawings, paintings and installations, always focusing on architecture and design, are held by The Metropolitan Museum, Tate Gallery, V&A and Pompidou among others. His painting 'Molly House' can currently be seen in Tate Britain as part of the permanent display.
The sale chart’s an artist’s fascination with baroque architectural form with artistic licence. It includes a poignant collection of Old Master pictures, rare English and Dutch delftware as well as fine and decorative furniture. His interiors are a living installation, a domestic vision of his artistic aesthetic characterised by colour, atmosphere and authenticity. Part historical record, part Alice in Wonderland, part Vitruvius Britannicus, a touch of Salvador Dali, but always tasteful!
