Here Mark Robertson, Head of Dreweatts' Wine department, talks to Susie and Peter about the UK wine industry, the rising popularity of English sparkling wine, as well as their own adventure into making English wine for charity.

The Hope and Glory Duo with Hattingley Valley

Back in 2016, Susie and Peter embarked on The Big English Wine Adventure, teaming up with Hattingley Valley in Hampshire to produce their own English sparkling wine for charity. There are now two wines available to purchase, Hope & Glory Blanc de Blancs 2016, and Hope & Glory The Blend 2017. The labels have been designed by Winchester street artist Hendog. All profits raised will be going to the Marine Conservation Society (registered charity no. 1004005), which works to protect and restore our precious seas, with all their vital ecosystems and invaluable ability to counter the climate crisis. 

Their latest venture combines everything we love at Dreweatts; great wine, promoting local businesses, as well as showcasing fantastic modern art by a local street artist, and all for charity and the sustainability of our oceans.
