Ben Brown (MRICS) is head of the Furniture department and specialises in Furniture, Rugs and Carpets, his extensive knowledge also permits him to act as a General Valuer.

Dreweatts holds four auctions of well curated Fine Furniture a year and Ben manages all elements of the process.

Ben joined Dreweatts in 2006 from Bonham’s Furniture department, Edinburgh. He graduated from De Montfort University in 1999 with a BA joint honours degree in the History of Art and Design. In the same year he joined Sotheby’s Country House saleroom in Billingshurst where he gained valuable knowledge of a wide range of antique items and specialised in the subject of furniture. Ben finds the combination of design, aesthetics and a wide range of manufacturing techniques particularly appealing in this specialist area.
