Lucy Darlington graduated from the University of Birmingham in 2008, with a degree in the History of Art. She went on to study at Sotheby’s Institute of Art, graduating in 2010, with an MA in Fine and Decorative Art. After spending five years with Bonhams in London, Lucy joined the Dreweatts team in 2016.
During her time at Dreweatts, Lucy has helped to develop the Old Master, British and European picture department so that it is able to hold independent auctions three times a year. In addition, she has worked on a number of prestigious house sale collections such as: Alchemy of Design: The Collection of Count Manfredi della Gherardesca, Robert Kime: The Personal Collection, Aynhoe Park: The Celebration of a Modern Grand Tour, The Collection of William Whitfield and The Collection from Plaish Hall.
In October 2018, Lucy was a finalist in the NAVA Novice Auctioneer of the Year Competition and now regularly auctioneers for Dreweatts. In May 2021, Lucy qualified as a member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS).
