Specialist: Old Master, British & European Art

After graduating with a History of Art degree from the University of Birmingham Lucy went on to study at Sotheby’s Institute of Art, graduating with an Masters in Fine and Decorative Art. After spending the first five years of her career at Bonhams, London, Lucy joined the Dreweatts team as a picture specialist in 2016.

As Head of Sale, Lucy has helped to grow and expand the Old Master, British and European picture department which holds three auctions a year. In addition, she has worked on a number of recent prestigious house sale collections such as: To Look, To See: Philip-Astley Jones, a Passionate Connoisseur, The Tomasso Collection & Barden Hall By Tomasso, Alchemy of Design: The Collection of Count Manfredi della Gherardesca, Robert Kime: The Personal Collection, and Aynhoe Park: The Celebration of a Modern Grand Tour.

Lucy has a specific interest in Maritime, and 19^th century British pictures.

In October 2018, Lucy was a finalist in the NAVA Novice Auctioneer of the Year Competition and now regularly auctioneers for Dreweatts. In May 2021, Lucy qualified as a member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS).
