Old Master, British and European Art Highlights | 11 February 2025

On Tuesday 11 February, we are pleased to present our first Old Master, British, and European Art auction of the year. Notable pieces include The Triumph of Neptune and Amphitrite by Frans Francken the Younger, a rare Renaissance panel by Francesco Marmitta, and Francesco Renaldi’s rediscovered Portrait of Mrs. William Douglas, née Jane Bell, and Her Son Philip in an Indian Interior. The sale also unveils the first tranche of Old Masters Rediscovered, featuring works that have not been seen on the market for decades. The auction also features a number of collections, including watercolours, oil paintings, and sketches from the George Howard Collection; as well as the late David Pike’s Victorian watercolours, sold to benefit The Art Fund.
