On Wednesday 20 and Thursday 21 May, we held our auction Chinese Ceramics and Works of Art: to include Japanese, Indian and Islamic Art. The sale presented a fascinating selection of works that showcased centuries of craftsmanship. Following lively bidding from around the world, the sale achieved 129% of its pre-sale estimate.

Commenting on the results, Mark Newstead, our Senior Consultant in our Asian Ceramics and Works of Art department said, “We were delighted with the strong sale results with many lots finding buyers paying considerably above the pre-sale estimates, making a combined total of just under £1.1 million over the two days.”
