Auction Results | Fine Furniture, Sculpture, Carpets, Ceramics and Works of Art | 23 & 24 June 2026

On Tuesday 23 and Wednesday 24 June, we held our summer auction of Fine Furniture, Sculpture, Carpets, Ceramics and Works of Art. With particularly strong prices achieved for Grand Tour pieces, garden ornament, as well as fine and rare furniture attributed to, or inspired by, some of the best-known makers in the field, including Chippendale and Gillows, the sale totalled £1,456,000.

Commenting on the results, Head of Furniture Ben Brown said: "The auction attracted interest from collectors and those seeking to furnish to a high standard from all corners of the globe. Strong bidding throughout the sale reflected the enduring appeal of exceptional quality and classic design. The overall success of the auction underscores the continued demand for thoughtfully assembled collections, offering great variety to suit all tastes."

This was the second instalment of our latest collaboration with Watts 1874, in which we presented furniture and works of art against the backdrop of their beautiful fabrics, including Ravenna Venetian Red, Cannaregio Venetian Gold and Hesketh Summer Blues.
